At Bright Butterfly, we are going to focus on our Visual Arts Specialism for our offer and provide sessions for children and young people Monday-Thursday 4pm-5pm (1 hourly sessions) or to 6pm (2 hourly). Sessions are delivered by Alison and our Teaching Assistant, Talamara at the Bright Butterfly premises in rural Banham.
We have an offer for all areas of the Circle of Support and our groups are small and personalised. We take care to discuss and understand pupil needs and interests to ensure a positive experience which explores personal ideas/creativity, personal expression, arts skills development and art as a therapeutic medium.
Please get in touch with us at Bright Butterfly to find out more about the themes and project ideas we use and our approach to encouraging individual creativity, which is at the heart of our SUCCESS Values.
To give a flavour, we have devised many projects which have taken a wide variety of themes such as Masks; 3D figures; Diorama; Animation; Tropical Birds; Islands; Mosaic; Natural Forms; Landscapes; looking at Artists and Artworks; Design-based projects. We teach essential skills, media knowledge and art making processes and go on to support young peoples’ own ideas and interests in the work they want to make.
Alison is an experienced Artist and was Head of Art and Design in Secondary Education, teaching courses up to A level.
